Three flow characteristics of electric control valve

Electric control valve is an important instrument in industrial automation process control.With the increasing automation level in the industrial field, electric control valve is more and more applied in various industrial production fields.Electric control valve actuator receives actuator signals (0-10v or 4-20ma) to control the valve for regulation, or an intelligent network control system can be formed according to the control requirements to optimize the control for remote monitoring.
 
The flow characteristics of electric control valve are linear, equal percentage and parabolic.
(1) Equal percentage characteristics :the relative stroke and relative flow of the same percentage feature are not in a linear relationship. The change of the flow rate caused by the change of unit stroke at each point of the stroke is directly proportional to the flow rate at this point, and the percentage change of the flow rate is equal.Therefore, the advantages of  Equal percentage for electric control valve are low flow rate, small flow rate change, when the electric control valve flow rate is large, the flow rate change is large. In different degrees of opening, Equal percentage has the same adjustment precision.
(2) Linear characteristics: linear characteristics of the relative travel and relative flow into a linear relationship.The change of flow rate caused by the change of unit travel is constant.When the electric control valve flow is large, the change of relative value of the flow is small, and when the flow is small, the change of relative value of the flow is large.
(3) Parabolic characteristics: the parabolic characteristic flow rate of the electric control valve varies in proportion to the square of the stroke, and the control valve parabolic characteristic has the intermediate characteristics of linear and equal percentage characteristics.

 
It can be seen from the analysis of the above three characteristics that in terms of the regulation performance of the electric control valve, the equal percentage characteristic is the optimal, and the regulation is stable and the regulation performance is good.The parabola is better than the linear characteristic, the client can select any one of the flow characteristics according to the requirements of the use.
